An Invitation
In an animate world, subtle energies and intelligence surround us, natural energy fields that affect the health and behaviour of soils, plants, animals, people, the water and the land itself. Working with these forces, flows and cycles of nature would have come more easily, perhaps, to our forebears, who were reliant on maintaining a balanced and harmonious relationship with the land for their survival, but they can be recovered.
This is a Level 2 training for those who work with the land in any capacity, for those who would like to use the art, the science of working with the land in this subtle capacity. There is much evidence to show that working in this way, with the land, with crops, animals, water-courses, trees and the communities, human and otherwise that live upon it, leads to greater balance, harmony and productivity for all. It is a follow-on training from Level 1: Restoring Balance which is a pre-requisite to this training.
What you will learn
The objectives of our time together are to build on the skills and the confidence acquired in Level 1.
Specifically, you will:
- Enhance your ability to enter and maintain a ‘still mind’
- Develop your capacity to perceive and engage with the natural
intelligence of the ecosystem - Develop your capacity to adaptively participate in processes of
creative change with landscape intelligence - Return home further empowered to participate and creatively influence
core life processes impacting soils, plant growth, animal health,
machinery and farm economics - Experience a deep sense of ease and belonging in your landscape
- Understand the power of being energetically in balance
- Be empowered to cultivate life energy around yourself
Is this for you?
This is a training for all those who have taken the Level 1 Training in Subtle Energies of the Land: Restoring Balance. It is possible to take these levels back to back.
Following this Level 2 training you will be invited into an ongoing online community of practitioners.

Your Guides
The lead guides of this apprenticeship are Dr Patrick MacManaway
and Rachel Fleming.

Bríd Walsh grew up in rural Ireland, in West Cork in the South Western part of Ireland. She was immersed in traditions of language, culture and deep connections to land and environment – listening to the rhythms of the land. She is the third generation in her family to carry close communication with land and trees.
Bríd has worked to remove blockages to the flow of energy in land, property and also when working with individuals – on their personal journey. Her connections have supported the removal of trauma from landscapes and also using this supportive dialogue with nature forms part of decision making when it comes to next steps for properties/land.

Brígite is a holistic voice & yoga practitioner, trauma informed nature connection facilitator and producer-curator. Her work focuses on guiding people toward deeper relationship with self, community and the natural world.
As a holistic practitioner, she weaves together learnings from animate earth based spirituality, voice work, tantric, trauma-informed yoga, and practical land skills to help people become more grounded and uncover their authentic voices.
An experienced producer-curator who develops radical healing spaces which centre community, land and social justice and platform silenced and marginalised voices.

Rachel Fleming has worked with animist education for many years, designing and delivering educational programmes for Schumacher College, University of Wales Trinity St Davids and Embercombe, with a focus on the meeting place between human, spirit and nature, between ‘ecology’ and ‘spirituality’. She is co-founder and curator of the Contemporary Animism programmes and loves to convene conversations that explore the deepest depths of why we are here, the ways we find belonging to the world and how to be in service to soul. She is committed to scholarship, word magic, creative imagination and the medicine of circles.
